The Hike
Caregivers will drop off children at either Ajax Park (1001 Ute Ave) or Heron Park. Drop-off location will be determined the week before. The total hiking distance will be approximately 1 mile. There is no destination. The goal is to have fun, appreciate nature, and learn how to become a lifelong hiker! We hike about an hour and a half, have snack, and head back to the pick-up location.
The hike will continue if there is light rain. It will be canceled if there is severe weather or lightening. If unexpected severe weather occurs during the hike, children will be moved to the nearest indoor space to be picked up by caregivers.
